APTET May June 2018 New Rules GO 25 APTET New Guidelines. There will be Only Two Papers in AP TET. Important Rules and Changes in APTET May June 2018. There will be Only Two Papers in AP TET. Paper -I is for Primary Teachers (I to V) and Paper -II is for School Assistants, Lang Pandits, PETs. Again Paper-II is divided in IIA and IIB. The following guidelines shall be followed for conduct of APTET.

APTET 2018 shall be followed conduct following guidelines

Government after careful examination of the proposals of the Commissioner of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati hereby issue the following Guidelines/ Instructions for conduct of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) as Computer Based Test (CBT) in supersession of the guidelines issued earlier in this regard.

Eligibility Criteria for candidates for appearing AP-TET from 2018 onwards

The candidates at the time of applying for AP-TET should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications prescribed for category of I to V classes (Paper- I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper - II) separately.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR AP - TET PAPER - I (CLASSES I TO V):

(i) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% and pass in 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education). (OR)

(ii) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. and pass in 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education(B.El.Ed.) / 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates, who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed / D.Ed., course prior to NCTE Gazette Notification, dated:23.08.2010

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR TET PAPER- II – A (Classes VI to VIII):

Mathematics and Science Teachers/ Social Studies Teachers

(i) Any graduation in concerned subject with at least 50% marks. In case of SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. and pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education). (or)

(ii) 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks, in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.

Language Teachers (Classes VI to VIII):

Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects
(or) Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent)

(or) Graduation in Literature
(or) Post Graduation in Language concerned and Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR TET PAPER- II – B (Classes VI to VIII):

Physical Education Teachers/ School Assistant- Physical Education

(i) Physical Education Teacher:

Must possess Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (or) Equivalent certificate recognized by Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of A.P. and Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed.) of One or Two years duration/ Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed) of duration not less than Two years (or equivalent) from any NCTE Recognized Institution.

(OR)

Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent (or) Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education an elective subject (or) Graduate in Physical Education (BPE) at least Three years duration and Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed.) of one or two years duration/ Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed) of duration not less than two years (or equivalent) from any NCTE Recognized Institution

ii. Physical Education Teacher / School Assistant- Physical Education:

Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent (or) Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education an elective subject (or) Graduate in Physical Education (BPE) at least Three years duration from any NCTE Recognized Institution. (and)

Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) of at least one year duration course from NCTE Recognized University/Institution

Note:-

(i) The candidates, who are appearing in the final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (or) under graduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed). / Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) (or) Bachelor of Education (or) Language Pandit Training (or) Bachelor of Physical Education etc., are also eligible to appear for TET exam subject to the condition that the candidates cannot appear for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) with this TET certificate, unless the candidates acquire requisite qualification.

(ii) A Diploma/ Degree course in Teacher Education / Degree Course in Physical Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.

(iii) Intermediate qualification of Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Andhra Pradesh State or its equivalent as recognized by Board of Intermediate Education (BIE), Andhra Pradesh State only shall be considered. Bachelor’s Degree of a University Recognized by UGC only shall be considered.

Structure and Content of AP TET 2018:

The structure and content of the TET is given in the following paragraphs.

All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying One Mark, with four alternatives out of which One Answer will be correct.
There will be no Negative Marking.
There will be Two Papers for the TET. Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes I to V, Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes VI to VIII.

A person who intends to be a Teacher either for Classes I to V or for Classes VI to VIII and having eligible qualifications specified above shall have to appear in both Papers (Paper I and Paper II).

(a) Paper- I : No. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) – 150

Duration of Examination: 2 hours and 30 minutes Structure and Content (all compulsory)\
Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs
Language I 30 MCQs
Language II (English) 30 MCQs
Mathematics 30 MCQ
Environmental Studies 30 MCQ
Total 150 MCQs 150 Marks
Note:-
(i) The test items on Child Development & Pedagogy will focus on Educational Psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the primary level.

How to choose language – I of AP TET 2018 Paper-I

The following languages are offered under First Language in the Schools under the State Syllabus viz., Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Odiya. A Candidate has to choose one of these Six(06) Languages under Language- I of TET, those candidates should have compulsorily studied that Language either as medium of study or as First Language at least up to Class X. The candidates who studied CBSE/ ICSE curriculum can choose the Language which they studied up to Class X.

The Language-II shall be English for all the candidates:

(iv) The syllabi for Language I & II shall be based on Proficiency in the Language, Elements of Language, Communication and Comprehension abilities (standard up to Class X level).

(v) For 30 MCQs under Language I & II, 24 MCQs will be on Content and 6 MCQs on Pedagogy of a Language 


(vi) The syllabi for Mathematics & Environmental Studies are designed on the basis of topics of Classes I to V. The difficulty standard as well as linkages of content/topics could be up to Secondary Stage (up to Class X) for testing. The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) not only on Content but also on Pedagogy. In Mathematics, 24 MCQs will be on Content and 6 MCQs on Pedagogy. Similarly, in Environmental Studies 24 MCQs will be on Content and 6 MCQs on Pedagogy.

MEDIUM OF QUESTION PAPER of AP TET 2018:

The Question Paper shall be bilingual (i.e). English followed by the Language-I chosen by the candidates for all Languages except Sanskrit. For the candidates choosing Sanskrit, the questions shall be in Telugu followed by Sanskrit (Devanagari Script).
