Eligibility Requirements

All Indian citizens are eligible to Apply for Admission. Candidates must have a permanent address in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The Applicants must be at least 19 years old as of July 1, 2023.
Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree from a Recognised university or institute.

Eligibility for Admission:

The Candidate shall Have Attempted Relevant Methodology Subject at AP EdCET 2023 Based on the Subjects of Study at Degree or PG level.

  • The candidate must have Received an Aggregate of 50% Marks at the Degree/postgraduate level examination for (OC/BC) and 40% marks for SC/ST.
  • Attempting a different methodology paper at AP EdCET 2023 and receiving a rank does not entitle you to admission in that Methodology.
Methodology Qualification Required
Mathematics Candidates with a BA/B.Sc. and Mathematics as one of their group subjects, as well as BCA candidates with Mathematics at the intermediate level as one of their group subjects.
Physical Science Candidates with a B.Sc. who have studied Physics and Chemistry or allied material sciences as group subjects in part 2 and BCA candidates who have studied Physical Sciences at the intermediate level as group subjects.
Biological Science Candidates with a B.sc/B.sc (Home Science) who have studied Botany and Zoology or allied life sciences as part 2 group subjects, as well as BCA students who have studied Biological Science at the intermediate level as group subjects.
Social Studies All candidates with B.A./B.Com/B.B.M./ students with Social Sciences at the Intermediate level as group subject.
English B.A. Special English or M.A. English candidate

Process of Selection

Admission will be made based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the written entrance exam.
Candidates must attend counselling in order to be assigned to a college for the B.Ed. course.

Exam Pattern

  • The exam will be objective, with multiple-choice questions.
  • The examination will consist of 140 questions.
  • There will be three separate sections.
  • The question paper will be in English and Urdu, so candidates must choose Kurnool as their exam location.

Application Fee for AP EdCET 2023

  • Those in the General category must pay an application fee of Rs 650/- (inclusive of service charges).
  • The application fee for candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories is Rs 450/-. (inclusive service charge).
  • The fee can be paid at any of the Andhra Pradesh locations.
  • A payment gateway, such as net banking, credit card, or debit card, can also be used to pay the fee.
  • After paying the fee in cash or by money at the AP Online centre, transfer candidates can check the status of their fee submission.

Allotment of Seats:

  • Based on your options, merit, local area, caste category, gender the best option among the choices is allotted by a computer program.

Admit Card for AP EdCET 2023

  • The admit card will be Made Available on the official website by the Examination Controller.
  • The admit card will be Required to be Brought to the Exam Centre when the Exam Begins.
  • Without the Admit card, No Candidate will be Allowed to take the exam.
